—Miss Jones, "Turbokorn" | ||
The Ghost Car is a Boo Technology vehicle invented by Miss Jones for the Ghostforce to use in difficult missions.
Appearance
The exterior of the Ghost Car is black with blue outlines and two pink circular windshields. There are two doors to enter the car; one at the top surface, another at the bottom. Whenever the vehicle is seen flying, it leaves a green light trail behind.
The inside of the Ghost Car contains four passenger seats and multiple screens surrounding them. The front left side of the car is for the car's cannons. The front right side is where the steering wheel and the start button are located. There is a built-in Boo Map on the back left side of the car to track the Boo Energy of either a ghost or a Ghostforce medallion. The passenger would check the car's electronics on the back right side of the car to ensure there weren't any engine damages.
Between the two back seats is a large device where a Boo Cap is inserted to load a ghost's Boo Energy for the car. The light inside the vehicle varies depending on the color of the Boo Cap's outline inserted at the back. However, if the vehicle suffers from major damage, the light will turn red.
Abilities
The Ghost Car's cannon being fired.
- Boo Energy: A ghost's Boo Energy is required to operate the Ghost Car. Whenever a member of the Ghostforce is about to drive the car, a Boo Cap would be inserted into the device at the back. If there is any major damage to the Ghost Car, the ghost(s) get forcibly retreat to their Boo Cap and cause all of the features to be deactivated.
- Flight: The car can fly and travel at a fast speed.
- Intangibility: The car can phase through solid objects while it is flying in the air.
- Communicator: The car enables the passengers to call another individual.
- Cannons: The front exterior of the Ghost Car has two cannons that are loaded with the ghost's Boo Energy. The cannon ammos are based on the ghost's powers, such as Katastroph's kitty goo or Freezofear's ice-scream.
- Boo Map: The car has a built-in Boo Map for the passengers to track the Boo Energy of either a ghost or a Ghostforce medallion.
- Autopilot: Miss Jones can activate the autopilot system if she ever sends the car to the Ghostforce's location.
- Eject Button: There is a yellow button in front of the driver seat to open the bottom door of the car. The button can only be pressed if there is a passenger not wearing a Ghostforce medallion.
- Portal Button: There is another yellow button in front of the driver seat to create a portal to get the Ghost Car back to the lab's garage. The portal would remain open until the driver press the same button to close it.
- Emergency Repair Protocol: Whenever the car gets hit, the passenger activates the emergency repair protocol to get the car to fix the damage itself. The time it takes for the protocol to fix the damage varies and it depends on how much damage the car received.
History
Season 1
Miss Jones began working on the prototype of the Ghost Car sometime after the events of "Raijin". She managed to design and build the vehicle all by herself in the lab's garage.
In "Jellystery", the prototype was almost fully completed but she must ensure that it would work properly. When the Ghostforce were all hanging out in the lab, Miss Jones asked Mike for his help and secretly revealed to him the prototype in the garage. The two eventually finished it together and were excited to have the rest of the team see the prototype. They both ended up delaying the surprise because the team all received an alert from the Boo Map that Jellystery was attacking the borough. During the mission, the prototype triggered an electromagnetic pulse that caused the entire console room to lose power. This forced Miss Jones to quickly check on the Ghost Car to see what caused the pulse. By the time the powers were back on, the team managed to successfully capture Jellystery and returned to the lab. Miss Jones then finally surprised Andy, Liv, and Glowboo with the prototype in the garage, revealing to the kids that she would continue working on it until the vehicle's ready to use.
In "Bubble-Brush", Miss Jones and Glowboo both went to the garage where they presumably cleaned the surface of the Ghost Car together. Glowboo was in the middle of buffing the prototype when the Boo Map alerted them about the titular ghost's awakening at the American Museum of Natural History.
The Ghost Car was finally all set by the time "Turbokorn" occurred. After Andy and Liv completed a training session against Katastroph, Miss Jones revealed to the Baker siblings the status of the car and was thinking of training the entire team to learn how to use it. The three were about to relax when they all received an alert on the Boo Map about a ghost's awakening at the museum. After the team all witnessed the ghost merging with the world's fastest racecar to become Turbokorn, Fury indirectly revealed to Krush that the Ghost Car was ready when the former suggested to Miss Jones that they should use the vehicle to chase after it. Miss Jones was initially hesitant about the idea because she hadn't trained the team yet, but later changed her mind because the Ghostforce weren't fast enough to capture Turbokorn on their own. She activated both the portal and the Ghost Car's autopilot from the console room before sending the vehicle to the team at the Brooklyn Bridge.
The second iteration of the Ghostforce initially had trouble using the Ghost Car to chase after Turbokorn because of an argument between Fury and Myst over who'd be in charge of firing the cannon. Fury wasn't a good driver and indirectly caused Krush to suffer from motion sickness, while Myst wasn't good at aiming the cannon after missing a shot. This led to the Ghost Car briefly shortcircuiting and falling into the sewers after Fury's driving caused the kitty goo that Myst had fired to stain the right side of the vehicle. Krush managed to quickly reverse the engine's circuit to get the Ghost Car back on. He even helped the Baker siblings talk out their problems and Myst revealed she wanted to fire the cannons since she's the sharpshooter of the team and wanted to stick with what she know. Krush resolved their conflict by advising Myst that she should sometimes get out of her comfort zone by switching places with Fury, to which she agreed. This allowed the team to successfully capture Turbokorn with Myst's driving and Fury's cannon aiming.
In "Dinozos", the team ran into a situation because the trio's medallions weren't fully charged by the time the titular ghost was awakened. Mike was also inactive because he was transformed into a piranha skull by Dinozos. So, the rest of the Ghostforce resorted to using the Ghost Car with Freezofear's Boo Energy as ammo to freeze Dinozos's jaws before they can capture it. During the mission, Myst wasn't fast enough to drive the car away from the ghost when it approached them. Dinozos grabbed the entire car with its jaws and swung it back and forth before tossing it to Central Park where the Ghost Car's propulsion system became critically damaged because of a hard landing on a fountain. While Glowboo was fixing the firing system, Myst left the Ghost Car and used Roland's Cave Dog as bait for Dinozos so she could lure it to them. The firing system managed to be operational just in time for Fury to fire the cannon at Dinozos and successfully freeze its jaws for him to capture it.
Specials
In "Grump King", Miss Jones loaded Flame's Boo Energy into the Ghost Car to quickly rescue Andy after he got separated from his medallion by the titular ghost. The medallion had fallen into the sewers, so Andy must retrieve it himself while Miss Jones stayed in the Ghost Car to create a diversion that could lure Grump King away. She managed to get the ghost distracted at 5th Avenue and was about to create a portal back to the lab. However, Grump King's witch army cast a lightning spell that hit the back of the Ghost Car, forcing Miss Jones to park above the Empire State Building and activate the emergency repair protocol to get it operating again. The protocol managed to repair the damage twenty minutes later which happened right after Fury captured Grump King. After Miss Jones returned to the garage with a damaged Glowboo, the Ghost Car was featured in the news because a civilian had taken a photo of it during Grump King's attack.

Trivia
The portal in the garage meant for the Ghost Car.
- As revealed in the 2021 Ghostforce brand deck by Ypsilon Films, the vehicle was originally going to be called the "Boo Car".[1]
- Despite being called a car, the vehicle is similar to a spacecraft because it can fly.
- A picture of the Ghost Car can be seen on the computer interface in the opening sequence.
- Whenever the Ghost Car is being flown in the air, the engine makes theremin-like sounds similar to the stock sound effect used for a ghost hovering.
- In every single episode where the Ghost Car is used, it always suffers from damage by a ghost attack which forces the passengers to activate the emergency protocol to fix it.
- There is a giant portal in the garage to get the Ghost Car out of the lab to a specific location in Manhattan. However, there are two instances where the portal caused a ghost to escape from the lab.
- In "Scream Scratch", Miss Jones accidentally turned on the portal after the titular ghost directly attacked her.
- In "Jellyjack", Liv was feeding Glups but she accidentally caused a scaryball to activate the portal after firing the blaster in the garage.
- As of "Ninja Ki", the Ghostforce themselves would sometimes use the garage portal as a shortcut to a wild ghost's location without requiring the Ghost Car.
- Miss Jones claimed in "Turbokorn" that it would take "many months" to fully recharge the Ghost Car. However, she must have figured out how to reduce the recharging length since the car was later used in "Dinozos" and "Grump King".
- Katastroph, Freezofear, and Flame were currently the only wild ghosts that were used for the Ghost Car.
- Kastastroph's Boo Energy served as cannon ammo against Turbokorn.
- Freezofear's Boo Energy was used to freeze Dinozos's jaws.
- Flame's Boo Energy increased the speed of the Ghost Car.
- Krush and Glowboo are the only members of the Ghostforce who haven't driven the car yet.
