Let's go, Ghostforce!

—the second iteration of the Ghostforce

The Ghostforce medallions are Boo Technology gadgets invented by Miss Jones that provides the wearer a protective armor and gain their powers from a ghost's Boo Energy.

Appearance

The medallions are all in the shape of the Ghostforce team emblem. There are currently four known medallions invented for a specific member of the Ghostforce with each having color-coded edges and glowing brightly in dark places. Andy's is green; Liv's is pink; Mike's is blue; and Glowboo's is orange.

A medallion, when worn by someone, transforms the wearer into a costumed disguise that consists of protective armor. To transform, the wearer must place the medallion on top of their clothing at the front of their chest. While it's unconfirmed, the medallions likely have a voice-activating feature since each wearer always says their superhero name before transforming. The medallions would glow brightly upon being placed onto the clothing to signify that they are functioning properly.

The medallions can disguise the identity of the wearer to human observers by providing them with a suit of armor that completely covers them from head to toe. If a medallion is removed from the wearer's armor while they are transformed, then they will immediately detransform back to their civilian self.

Each member of the second iteration of the team currently uses a tamed ghost as their power sources for their respective medallions; Dragoyle for Fury's, Growmax for Krush's, Octocat for Myst's, and Solarboo for Glowboo's. The tamed ghosts aren't inhabiting the medallions since they are all inside their respective Boo Caps that are within the armor's storage feature. Instead, the medallions are fueled by a tamed ghost's Boo Energy that allows the wearers to use its powers.

The medallions have a finite Boo Energy storage that can get drained whenever the wearer use their powers. This includes flight, intangibility, and their respective tamed ghost's powers. For example, Myst can create Octocat's spectral gates but the Boo Energy from her medallion would rapidly run out the longer she uses this power. To prevent the risk of losing a large portion of their Boo Energy during their missions, the wearers must avoid using their respective tamed ghost's powers within a short period of time while hunting a wild ghost.

There are some ghosts whose powers can drain Boo Energy from their medallions, with two notable examples being Mikroo and Katastroph. To prevent the risk of the medallions running out of Boo Energy completely, the Ghostforce must avoid the particular ghost's attacks whatever possible. If a ghost has a power to create a dome that has a strong aura that overwhelms other ghosts, such as Pharaok and Batata, the Ghostforce must avoid using their powers too much while inside it.

Because the medallions are fueled by a ghost's Boo Energy, they can be detected from the Boo Map that is connected from both Miss Jones's supercomputer and the wearer's armors.

Gadget downloads

On some occasions, Miss Jones would send a Boo Technology gadget to the team if they are struggling with capturing a ghost during their missions. She would bring the gadget into the training room and download it into one of the suits by placing it onto the teleportation pad. Once the download is completed, the gadget would appear out of a team member's medallion.

Recharging

Whenever the medallions are out of Boo Energy, the Ghostforce must bring them back to the lab to recharge them before their next mission. The tamed ghosts would be asleep inside their Boo Caps during the entire process, but their Boo Energy would be transferred into the medallions when they are all placed onto the charging pad in the console room. According to Mike in "Dinozos", it takes a few hours until the medallions are full of Boo Energy again.

Glowboo's medallion is unique since it is a part of his armor as an android. Instead of charging it the same way as his teammates, he must be placed in a special chamber station where Solarboo's Boo Cap is inserted to recharge him.

In "Mikroo", Miss Jones invented a Boo Energy battery to refuel Fury and Krush after their Boo Energy was drained by Mikroo. However, the battery can only be effective if the wearers are shrunk to the size of a mouse. Otherwise, the battery can only give a small amount of Boo Energy when the wearers are in normal sizes.
