Spig is a Level 4 wild ghost from the viscous family.^[1]

In "Burghorror", it was awakened from its nest after it was dropped onto the ground and a cyclist accidentally rode onto it. It later merged with Andy Baker's cheeseburger and briefly became Burghorror.

Appearance

Kawai mode

In its kawai mode, Spig is a red ghost that resembles a condiment stain. It has orange eyes, dark brown scleras, a red tongue, two bottom fangs, six bottom limbs, and multiple yellow spots on its head.

As Burghorror

As Burghorror, the ghost resembles a giant cheeseburger. The melted cheese served as its face with pink eyes and black scleraes. Its body consisted of a top burger bun with sesame seeds, a meat patty, two slices of pickle, a slice of onion, a tomato, a slice of lettuce, and a bottom burger bun. It has two floating arms that are made out of French fries with sesame seeds at the edge.

Abilities

• Flight: Spig/Burghorror can fly in both its kawai and booster modes.
• Intangibility: Spig/Burghorror can phase through walls, floors, and generally solid objects. The only exception is when it is trapped in the Ghost Cloud or one of the Boo Caps.
• Possession: As a merger ghost, Spig can gain additional powers by possessing objects. The only receptacle it was seen merged with was a cheeseburger.
• Melted Goo: Spig can spit out projectiles that are made out of melted goo so it can trap its targets and ingest their fears.
• Burger Blast: As Burghorror, it can spit out huge projectiles that are different cheeseburger components. This includes tomatoes, pickles, and melted cheese. The projectiles are also edible since Fury once took a bite of the cheese while he was trapped underneath it.
• Burger Split: Because it has merged with a cheeseburger, Burghorror can split itself into different layers to dodge incoming attacks.

• Spig's name was never mentioned in "Burghorror" since the Ghostforce only addressed the ghost by its booster name. Its kawai name was only revealed on the official Ghostforce website.
  • This makes it the second merger ghost whose kawai name is revealed on the website, following Droplet.
• Burghorror's name is a portmanteau for "burger" and "horror".
  • As revealed on the 2021 Ghostforce brand deck by Ypsilon Films, Burghorror's name was originally going to be "Ghost Burger".^[2]
  • In the French version, its name is spelled as "Burghorreur".
• A piece of concept art revealed that Burghorror was originally going to have two dill pickles for arms.
• The official Ghostforce website revealed that Spig is from a rare specimen.^[1]
  • There are two Spigs within the specimen that appeared near the end of the opening sequence; one being in its kawai mode and the other being Burghorror.
• Spig is one of the many ghosts whose specimen was recently discovered by the Ghostforce.
• Burghorror's arms were made out of French fries, despite the burger Spig merged with didn't contain any of them.
• Unlike Freezofear and Arak, Spig merged with its receptacle instead of ingesting it.
• Burghorror was mentioned in "Troublestretch" as an answer for one of the questions from Charlie's Ghostforce quiz game.
